Fatma Hassan Alremaihi, CEO of the Doha Film Institute (DFI), is set to receive the prestigious Arab Cinema Personality of the Year Award from the Arab Cinema Center (ACC) during the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. Career Background
Alremaihi hails from Doha and holds a degree in English Literature from Qatar University. She joined the DFI in 2009, initially serving as an advisor for the now-defunct Doha Tribeca Film Festival. As a dedicated mother of four, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Ajyal Film Festival, which engages children in cinematic experiences, and the Qumra workshop designed to nurture emerging Arab filmmakers.
