On the inaugural day of Mexico Fashion Week, Peruvian designer Sandra Weil made a significant mark with her latest collection, titled LEVEL8. This year’s event, supported by a new sponsor, reflects a vibrant renewal in the Mexican fashion landscape.

Weil’s latest offering draws upon the concept of infinity and explores a deeply personal journey of encountering and overcoming fear. The collection deftly merges medieval aesthetics with mythological elements, incorporating prints that feature dragons, mermaids, and other fantastical beings, creating a rich visual narrative.

The show opened powerfully with a standout look: a pleated tulle maxi skirt paired with an asymmetrical wool and organza jacket. This combination exemplified Weil’s signature style—feminine yet devoid of conventional delicacy.

The accessories for the show were crafted by Romo Herrera, renowned for their sculptural jewelry. Among the eye-catching pieces was a dragon-scale-inspired necklace that was worn by Mexican actress Aislinn Derbez. Additionally, select outfits featured UGG boots, part of a special collaboration designed exclusively for the runway.
