On Tuesday morning, Netflix officially announced the film via a post on their social media platform X, stating, “Heartstopper will return, bigger than ever. A Heartstopper movie, our final chapter based on Alice Oseman’s upcoming volume six, is coming!”
Returning Cast and Production Team
Kit Connor and Joe Locke will reprise their roles as Nick and Charlie, and both actors will also serve as executive producers for the film. The script has been penned by series creator Alice Oseman, while Wash Westmoreland, known for directing “Still Alice,” will take the helm of the project. Filming is anticipated to start this summer.
